Hello, I play Nightfall and i have a question with problem...
im lvl 19 fire elementalist.. and i have been moved to Kourna everything is fine.. in Istan when i killing mob lvl 18+ my dmg is from 50-100+ but in Kouran the mob lvl is 20 and I cant even do 40 dmg with meteor .. what the hell?

Do you have maximum armor? Also, what's your build?

Higher level mobs = Higher level armor.

Also, it could be that the enemy had higher elemental armor (meaning they'd take less from e.g. meteor)

on the kournan warriors, rangers, and paragons, you'l do much less dmg because of resistance and higher armor. Seers (Mesmers) and Monks is about the most dmg you'l do.

try using runes if u dont yet, it'll help improve dmg ;-)

Anyway... your opponents have better armor now that you are off the newbie portion of nightfall. Get used to it, and get some skills to improve your damage. They are out there.

Its actually a valid question. If OP was running around Istan with max armor, he'd be seeing the same effect, mobs there doing less damage due to OP's higher AL. Now that the playing field is level, you're just more aware of the differences between the starter island and the mainland.

Another point, certain types of mobs in PvE are vulnerable to certain types of damage. For example, plant monsters (which were common on Istan) take double damage from fire.
